Our Journey:
Inspired by the timeless journey home described in Homer's Odyssey, Ithaca is more than a destination—it is a place of connection, learning, and belonging.
Founded as the Greek Cultural Society of Birmingham, Ithaca is dedicated to celebrating and promoting the richness of Greek culture, language, history, traditions, and arts. We bring together people of all backgrounds who share an interest in Greece's remarkable heritage and its continuing contribution to modern society.
Through educational seminars, cultural events, music and dance, language and artistic activities, and community gatherings, we create opportunities for people to learn, connect, and celebrate together. Whether you are of Greek heritage, have a passion for Greek culture, or are simply curious to discover something new, you will find a warm and welcoming community at Ithaca.
Our mission is to build bridges between cultures, preserve traditions for future generations, and foster friendship, understanding, and lifelong learning within Birmingham and beyond.
We invite you to explore our activities, join our events, and become part of the Ithaca journey.
Καλώς ήρθατε — Welcome to Ithaca.
