The Alexandria - Christophoros Philippidis library is is located at the Midlands Greek and Cypriot Association, Magnet Centre, Park Approach, B23 7SJ, Birmingham, West Midlands. It has its dedicated reading space. It is housed in the same building as the Cicada Greek Super market, Tzitzikas Cafe, Kritamo Restaurant, the Honorary Greek Consulate of Birmingham, the Greek School of Ayia Triada, and the Church of Ayia Triada and St Luke.
The library was inaugurated on the 4th of October 2026, in the presence of his Excellence Mr Yiannis Tsaousis, Ambasador of Greece in the United Kingdom and his Eminence Bishop Maximos of Melitene. Ithaca Birmingham greatly thanks a large number of generous donors who provided books for the library.
The Library bears the name of Christophoros Philippidis. Christophoros was born in Alexandria of Egypt and served as the honorary Greek Consul of Birmingham, a voluntary and unpaid role for more than 50 years. Ithaca and wider community are immensely grateful for his service.
